The Classroom Timer is a digital tool designed for classroom management. It combines the familiarity of traditional timers with visual and audio cues that help both teachers and students stay on track during timed activities. It might be useful for timing group work, presentations, tests, or quick activities.
You can choose between digital and analog displays (or use both). The timer changes colors as time progresses to give students a visual sense of time left. The fullscreen mode makes the timer visible from anywhere in the classroom.
Since there's no need for accounts or installations, you can quickly start using it whenever you need it.
How to use this Free Classroom Timer
Setting Up Your Timer
- Duration Settings: Enter time directly using the minutes and seconds inputs, or use quick preset buttons (1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes) for common durations. The timer saves your last used duration automatically.
- Display Options:
- Digital Timer. Large, clear numbers showing minutes and seconds.
- Analog Timer. Traditional clock face with a moving hand and a progress overlay.
- Combined Mode. Shows both digital and analog displays together.
- Background Color Change Options:
- Standard Mode. Transitions from green (plenty of time, 100% to 66% of time left) to yellow (getting close, 66% to 33% of time left) to red (time almost up, less than 33% of time left).
- Simple Mode. Stays white for 80% of time period, until the final portion, then turns red.
- Custom. Having selected this option, you can set your own custom colors and define time points when each of them should be activated. Using Add Color Stage button you can add unlimited number of custom colors.
- No Color Change. Maintains a consistent color.
